Health and fitness

June 23rd, 2013 1:34 A.M.

As part of my getting back on the road to recovery from my strokes one of my main goals is to get healthy again. As much as I love, love grease, I love my Wife and Daughter more. At my biggest back in October 2012, I tipped the scale at 275 pounds, which for the first time here and now, I am being completely honest and I can say this was most I have ever been disappointed in myself. I have been like many people doing the diets of the week, joined a gym and gone for six months then stopped, even thought I kept paying the membership for the next two years. I guess that was allow me to fool myself into to thinking I could get healthy any time because I had the resource even if I never intended on using it.

Flash forward to June 2013, and surviving two strokes. I have started taking my health more seriously and currently weight 261 pounds. That is due to mainly cutting out a lot of grease and junk that I really should not have been eating. The main culprit that I have cut out is PEPSI. Man do I love pepsi but hate those empty calories, not to mention all those hard to pronounce ingredients Now that my doctors have given me the green light for light rehab I am starting slow.

I have joined the YMCA, and have been doing low impact water aerobics that will not impact my neck.

This part of my Blog is going to be the hardest part for me because I am going to put myself totally out there. Including shirtless pictures from the beginning and on to show hopefully my progress. This hopefully will motivate me, and anyone else that might read this.

I will be updating this page all the time, and will hopefully be able to share reviews on many different aspects of getting fit and healthy.
